    Orell Signs Contract with Bindura University to Implement Honeycomb

Orell is once again fluttering its wings in the African continent. This time, it’s over the Bindura University of Science Education, located at Zimbabwe. If you look into the history of Bindura University of Science Education, you may feel it quite interesting.  In 1995, Zimbabwe Government took a decision to alleviate the shortage of science teachers locally by starting a University of Science Education. The institution was opened in 1996 under the University of Zimbabwe with an intake of about 125 students.

As part of improving the educational level and administrative facets of the institution, the authorities of the institute decided to implement advanced facilities in the college. Campus Management Software is the first preference for many institutions while considering the different ways of campus administration. Realizing the efficiency and cost effectiveness of Honeycomb Campus Management Suite, Bindura University decided to opt for it at their campus.

Bindura University had signed contract with Orell for Honeycomb ERP suite, the fully automated 24-module campus management software, and now our Orell technical support team is about to collect the requirements of the institute to make it perfectly suitable for their administrative processes. We are hopeful that through Honeycomb, administrators of Bindura University can save a lot of time and expense besides improving the management processes at the campus. The highly integrated, user friendly and customizable Honeycomb ERP suite will definitely be an asset for the institution.  

                           Honeycomb Installation at DCSMAT

The DC School of Management and Technology (DCSMAT) is one of the leading management institutions in India located at Vagamon, Idukki, Kerala. DCSMAT was established in September 2002 and it is one among the few institutions in India approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

 It was at the beginning of the 2012 academic year that Oréll Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd received the order for Honeycomb ERP campus management Suite from DCSMAT. Later, we were invited by the college management to implement Honeycomb in their campus. The prime intention of DCSMAT was to automate all their academic and administration processes using our versatile ERP suite.

During the presales phase, Oréll team conducted a system analysis to know the requirements of the institute. Following the system analysis, the software implementation was done in a promising manner. After the implementation process, our business analyst team conducted a process study and a successful training was given to the system administrators and functional specialists regarding the working of the software.

During the implementation stage, DCSMAT requested a hosting solution in their premises. Even though, it was not mentioned in the contract, an additional team has been deployed for that also. As per the customization requirements gathered by our business analyst team from the functional specialists of the institution, the work is progressing and Team Oréll is collaborating constantly with the college management to ensure a product that meets all their requirements.

Honeycomb installation at Shridevi Institute of Engineering & Technology

It’s really a proud moment for Orell because of its successful Honeycomb suite installation at the Shridevi Institute of Engineering &Technology (SIET). 

SIET located at Tumkur in Karnataka is an ISO Certified engineering college established in 2002 under the auspices of Sri Shridevi Charitable Trust by the founder trustee Dr. M.R. Hulinaykar. It is one of the best engineering colleges in Karnataka and is affiliated to Visveswaraya Technological University and recognized by Government of Karnataka under the approval from All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The Institute offers seven Undergraduate courses and three Post Graduate courses with an annual intake of 636 students. 

Before implementing Orell Honeycomb suite, SIET was following manual administrative process. Earlier, Tally was used for the accounts processing and a prototype software was used for library management at SIET. With the Honeycomb suite implementation, the whole admission process was fully automated. Other administrative process including fee management, payroll, and inventory and timetable creation has also been automated. 

The whole implementation process was divided into three phases. In the initial phase, the Orell Technical Team performed an online installation of the Honeycomb suite and the Orell Business Analyst Team visited the SIET campus and provided the system training. A process study was conducted and the customization requirements were collected from the client. Customization work for second phase is progressing as per schedule and business proposal for the additional 14 campuses under the same management has been approved.
